Am I crazy???

So it's kind of too late to ask...but I'm going to anyways!  Am I crazy for buying my dress a year in advance without seeing a picture of it in the right color????  I LOVE the dress, here is the link http://www.sophiatolli.com/CollectionProductDetail.aspx?cname=SophiaTolli&did=0&pid=501694&year=2007&season=Fa ll& .  My only problem is that they only show the dress in blue and I couldn't find a picture of it in Ivory anywhere.  I am really excited...but a little nervous at the same time.

very pretty dress!  i think if you love the dress, then you'll like it in ivory.  my only concern, have you even tried the dress on, even in blue?  that is what i'd be more concerned about - buying it before even trying it on...

Yes!!!!!  You are wonderful...sorry guys...I'm not that tech saavy!  I have tried the dress on and it looks AMAZING.  It took off 20 lbs the minute she tied me up.  They only had it in blue color at the store.  I figured since I loved it blue the ivory should be okay....I just needed to hear it from someone else (besides my sisters)

I think if you tried it on and loved it, then ordering it in a different color isn't a problem at all. I would look at other dresses by the designer in the color that you think you like to be sure it is the color you are imagining it will be

i like the dress... i agree with beatie.  there were some dresses that i LOVED but when i tried them on i was not thrilled about them.  You should go on-line and look for a shop near you that carries the dress. 

i don't think you're crazy but i'm afraid later on down the line you're going to find something you love more! i know its happened to a couple of girls on here. It happened to me but in form of my wedding venue. I fell in love with one right after the other and am so glad that I never booked any of them. We decided on the last place that we checked out! So unless you're getting an absolute steal of a deal, I would wait a couple more months.

I agree with jharkins.....you should probably just try something on in the color that you bought.  When I first went dress shopping, I definitely thought I was going to get a white dress.  In the end, I ended up with a ivory one.  The ivory just looked so much better with my skin tone than the bright white dresses.  This might be something that you should consider.

Thanks everyone for your inpout!  Just to clarify...I HAVE tried on the dress but in the wrong color.  The designer doesn't make samples in the ivory.  I do know that I want an ivory dress.  I tried on both white and ivory dresses (in other styles) and the ivory looks a million times better on my skin!
