Anne Hathaway tied the knot in gorgeous Big Sur, Calif., over the weekend, and the only thing more interesting than the scenery was the bride’s wedding look. (Seriously — it’s all we’ve been able to talk about today!)

Hathaway selected a custom-made Valentino gown for her big day (the designer is a pal), finishing the ensemble with minimal jewelry, her pixie cut and a 1920s-inspired headband attached to a simple veil.

“The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She looked very pretty.”

However, not all of you agree — especially on the matter of the headpiece.

“looks like she had a serious head injury… hope she’s okay,” joked Twitter user danielleNhale. “I like the dress, but the head piece and bridal veil are awful,” added @SummerMarisa.

While there were other criticisms of the headpiece over on People.com, the dress received pretty positive reviews. “Beautiful gown and it’s NOT STRAPLESS! Yay,” wrote SavedByGrace. Aliciad2649 agreed. “I LOVE the headpiece and the dress is classic. Anne’s a lady, through and through.”

The bride had a big cheerleader in Missyburk, as well. “I am sure this picture doesn’t do the dress or the veil justice,” she wrote. “As far as the head piece goes retro and with her pixie cut, it makes her more feminine for her big day. I will say, it is what the bride wanted, she was happy and to her I am sure it was beautiful.” Well said!

Her dress is gorgeous, but honestly I am not crazy about the headpiece! Only because she has such a small head and face.

I am really not sure about that head piece. He dress is beautiful though!!

Dress was beautiful but wasnt a fan of the headpiece either! Didnt look good on her at all! I think she should have went with something less because the dress was so much already!

Personally, I think she looks beautiful headpiece and all. She is wearing what she likes. I'm just so happy for her to marry her love. The groom doesn't seem to mind and that's all that matters. I really hope all the comments are not hurting her feelings.

I love her vintage-inspired style - reminds me of wedding gowns from the 1920s.  It's really romantic.  :)
