I started going to the gym and watching what I ate in November of 2010, then FI asked me to marry him (after living together for 18 years geeesh LOL) on my birthday January 26, 2011. By the time he proposed I'd lost about 11 pounds, but the
proposal was SUCH a major motivator!! I'm bipolar and my dr. and I were trying to find the right combo of drugs to keep me on a even keel, unfortunately pretty much all of the meds are weight gainers soooo we monitored my weight. At one point he changed
me because I had gained a lot quickly, sooooo when I finally got on a regulated dose that works (for most part anyway) and had quit gaining I decided to start losing it. I started by cutting out almost ALL cokes, started eating salads A LOT, and
going to the gym 3 days a week (I've been doing 4 times a week for several months now) and I'm taking Alli which is a fat blocker (I've been trying to get my dr. to ok a diet pill for a while so when he said yes to Alli I was really surprised and
encouraged!) I started out at 165 which is the most I've ever weighed!! I should also mention that I work for a University and they have a really nice gym facility about a block from the building I work out of and on the days that I go to the gym I
don't eat lunch, but have a soy Mocha right after my workout, then for dinner I try to eat a sensible meal. Tonight I had a nice big salad of greens, cherry tomatoes, radishes, a little bacon bits, and croutons with a dijon vinagrette, plus a chicken
pot pie. My workouts at the gym have built to the point where I'm now doing a two day dumbell workout that kicks my ass, especially on Mon. and Thur. which are the days for killer split lunges and twenty five pounds of dumbells, squats, and two armed
stomach crunches (holding a 15 lb. weight straight up, with knees bent and feet an inch or so off the ground while raising like your reaching for the sky uggggh!) I do two routines that work the whole body split between two days then I have lunch
with the FI at the hospital cafeteria on wednesdy and nothing on weekend except a little swimming and working in the yard and a garden/pond area we have that's all flowers low decks and patios......and I should mention that it's been hotter than hell
so lots of sweat and squatting LOLOL. I've lost a total of 28 lbs, I'd settle on 130 (another 8-10lbs), but want to get down to 125, I'm 5'3" with short legs :) I still have another 46 days to go and with all the inspiration I've gotten here the 8
to 10 could be doable if I stick to not snacking at all and push myself harder at the gym. The first picture is a size 12 at Thanksgiving so I'd already been working out about a month then. The in progress pictures are a size 8 and was taken
June 16th right after an all nighter waiting on our 7th grandchild to be born. Size 8 is now kind of baggy but a 7 is too tight on the thighs, I've lost over 2 inches too!!

I know neither is a great pic, I'll try to post another, it's usually me taking them and I feel weird taking one in the mirror....I'm really hoping to feel good enough by August to do some DIY B-Pics, but my ultimate goal isn't my form fitting
beautiful dress, it's to have that 50 year old Bo-Flex body BEFORE I hit 50 LOLOL and I want to wear a bikini again!! Thanks for all the inspiration, and I WILL be checking back frequently!! XoXo
