Anyone?

I've found it a challenge to deal with some vendors because they cater to an early 20 demographic.

The biggest bonus is knowing who I am and knowing what I want and how to work with people in a professional way.

Challenge - FI and I planning the wedding ourselves and sticking to budget :)

Bonus - My 2nd marriage and im in my 30's, and this time this wedding will be exactly what I want. Its alot easier to make decisions and Im much more sure of myself when speaking to vendors.

No disadvantages for me ....... my personal bonuses ,  knowing what I wanted and not being afraid to say it and do it my way ...with my own money .... and having the perfect excuse NOT to wear a big puffy dress ....I didn't wear a poofy dress the first time either ...but it was what my aunt and mom had envisioned and they kept making me try them on .... LOL

This time EVERYONE was in agreement that the dress should be a little more understated and more sophisticated than princessy ....so trying on dresses was a lot more fun

Niecy - My 1st wedding dress was poofy, I hated it from the moment I tried it on, but my mom loved it so I got it.  This time I definately went the more sophisticated route and I think the dress is very age appropriate.  Your dress was perfect on you btw :)

So far, I think the bonus is that I've been to plenty of friends' weddings to see what I like and don't like. The disadvantage, though, is that many ideas and bridesmaids dresses that I like have already been done, and I don't want to copy other people, haha! Nothing huge, I suppose. =)

No disadvantages so far, most people I know are barely getting now (around 30) so I have gone to more weddings in the last 2 years and like moffy, many of the dresses that I have seen have already been worn at weddings. I only have 2 friends/family members that got married in their 20s so I guess to me so far this age seems to be when people are now getting married. I know in my 20s I was not really sure of what I wanted, so I feel that an advantage of getting married in the 30s is that you are sure of yourself, of what you want from the person you want to be married to and there seems to be less issues with everything.

no disadvantages but a big advantage would be me being able to make up my mind about something and sticking to it!!

selfish advantage....my friends are all older, have good jobs & they give better gifts! LOL

No disadvantages, I think everyone is more happy than anything. Especially my mom who was starting to worry (although she swears she wasn't) LOL I love it, the attention and the fact that I'm older so I know what I want and don't want and God willing, this will be our first & last marriage. I also agree with the other girls, had I gotten married in my 20's, I was in love with the fru fru puf wedding dress, I am so anti puffy!!! I want the dress that's in my profile. Sexy, mature & glamorous!!!
