I'm considering... for cost effectiveness.  I really love the idea of having one.  The company I was going to go with if I didn't is in my bio page!

I'm determined to make this happen but don't have the details worked out yet.  One of my little cousins friends wants to be a photog so she asked him to mend our photobooth.  I hope he doesn't flake or anything like that.

We want to copy this...

My photographer is going to do it when he isn't shooting the majors of the reception. It won't be a typical carnival style booth, but a larger area with a background and a bunch of props. He'll take pictures and print them there, I believe I get a digital copy of all of them as well.

NOTE: I am having a SPanish themed/centered wedding

materials I will be providing:

- fabric for background to go with the wedding theme.

- maracas

- little mariachi guitar (kids toy)

- mustaches on sticks

-silly plastic glasses

- sombreros

- lace wraps

-etc.

I am planning to hit up the after haloween sale as well as the new years sales, for hats and glasses.

We're doing a sort of DIY photobooth.  However, we decided to have friends help take pictures, instead of trying to rig up complicated ways for people to take their own.  Details are here.

I love the idea of a simple backdrop for guests to pose in front of.  I've got tons of material, since I sew-- thinking I'll bring some nice fabric and hang it in 1 corner as a backdrop, and let people pose in front of it.  Everyone will have digital cameras, so they can use those when the photographer isn't taking pictures there.

2dbride, I love your setup... I might be stealing your background frame idea in a few months! ;)

I really really want to do a photobooth also but my stupid budget isn't allowing it!!! Sooo I'm either considering a diy photobooth or kind of a diy "face in hole set-up" (with a couple different ones to choose from). The pic below is just an example.

My best friend is from Germany and she said this is really common at all german weddings and parties.

You'd use a background (like a sheet or fabirc) and then have a giant picture frame made out of anything you want. I'll be making one out of wood and painting it with my colors.

Then people pose in front of a camera (usually someone's digital or poloroid set up on a tripod) and hold up the frame and take silly pictures as if they were in a painting.

We'll be setting out fun props as well, like a normal photo booth. This way, you have them all on your memory card and can do anything with them later. She showed me some from her parents anniversary and they're great!
