Married 2...Why don't you just TTC and not worry about your weight until after you have a baby?  I know, I know...Doc says to...but it seems rather silly.  You don't have to gain a 100lbs. being pregnant.  Some girls do...but you don't have to.  Let's say you gain 40 or 50 lbs...which is a lot really...then you take off 100 lbs.  AND btw...I was shocked that I didn't lose weight until after I stopped nursing.  Then it just feel off.

no botb or ttc until:

1) brother in law moves out

2) i lose 40 lbs so the baby's life/health wont be compromised. the heavier the mom, the riskier the pregnancy.

so probably a year after marriage.

I have two, Kylie 7 months and Ally 2 1/2. If my husband had it his way I would be preggers right now. I told him not until after the wedding. I already had to call it off twice before, because I didn't want to be stressed about planning and be preggo at the same time. We had a civil ceremony 2 years ago, but now I am finally getting to celebrate it with family and friends. My two girls turn 1 and 3 the week before the wedding and are our flower girls.

As for those with BOTB just be healthy start taking prenatals at least a month before TTC. As for the weight everyone is different. With my 1st I gained 65lbs and my second 40 lbs, I lost it all and more it just takes a little while. Enjoy every moment don't let weight bother you.

Not getting married until this summer, but babies are on my FIs brain all the time! Hehe we are not trying but he is trying to convince me to start trying before, says he will buy me a new dress if I can't fit in the one I have now. hehe.

Not sure how long I can let him wait, we might start trying a couple months before the wedding...worst case scenario I will be two months pregnant at the wedding. Same as my mum when her and my dad got married :) We could start a family tradition like this.

OMG HA! Im late to the game on this thread but love how I was preggo for a bit! Ha ha! Lori, too funny!  Do you know something I don't?? ;)

I do have BOTB, not constantly but I do have it.  We've already planned to start trying this summer.  Being that we're not getting any younger (he's 38 and I'll be 30 in about 12 days!) and were financially stable, there is no reason to wait to add to our familiy.

We're so type A, we've decided to wait to try until after June because a) we're going to Mexico in April and I don't want to be sick the whole time; and 2) we have his 20 year reunion in June and we both want to look svelt! (I know...shallow...just go with it ;)).  Did I just say 20 YEAR REUNION?? Geez! lol.  I joke that we'll try the night of his reunion. So who knows, but I will definitely let you all know when I'm preggo!

jax, you're on the money with not wanting morning sickness at a certain time... it can be a breeze or it can be a b*tch, though I love being preggers morning sickness is the worst and for me gets worse each time!...

in terms of weight, every woman is different and even within that every pregnancy is different...

I gained a whopping 80lb or more with child one - yes it says, 80lb! and the next two ranged/averaged about 70lb or more each... the last birth was slightly less, probably 50lb... and this one even less, a mere 25lb... but its NOT because I was more fit each time, I was probably less BUT more concsious realizing with the last two that my "pre-baby" weight was high than the first 3 times...

so KUDOS to those who are taking the extra steps for a healthy pre-baby & healthy post-baby concept... it will truly benefit you and baby in the long run... gl!!!

Ha! I was waiting for you to notice that Kohler! I thought that it was funny! I am with you on the waiting thing.... I told my FI that I wanted to wait until I was 29 or 30 because only want one and he isn't having it.... My family travels each summer and I really just want some time I guess to just be selfish....
