Any Oct 20 bride need a florist?

I had to cancel on my wonderful florist because she was just too far away, and we don't have the budget to meet her minimum amount for delivery at such a distance. My bad, entirely.

The deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation, but I don't mind that -- I just wanted it to work out for everyone, us with probably simple DIY flowers, and Anne with a booking on that day. I would have notified her earlier but for having had to take care of my dad through some major surgeries since February... :-( But it was the meltdown at the maze that reminded me of how many traffic incidents (be it unforeseen weekend repairs or detours, or crazy drivers) there could be on a 2-3/4 hour route. I feel awful and just hope she finds another booking...

Please spread the word, everyone -- she does amazing work and was extremely nice about this.

I hope your dad feels better soon. You're such a nice person to take care of him through his surgeries. =) You must be so busy! Don't forget to take a little bit of "me" time though.

Thanks Margaret, I'm just doing what anyone else faced with the same situation would do. We're also moving back to CA from CT next month to help out with my parents. It'll be a stressful year! We'll relax in 2008 when we go on our honeymoon. :)
