anyone buy a wedding dress online?

We have a very small budget for our wedding. I want a nice wedding dress but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on something I will only wear one time.

I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased a dress from an online vendor, and how were your experiences with them?

I got mine from www.netbride.com and they are absolutely FANTASTIC.  I cannot recommend them enough!  They are brilliant.  My dress wasn't a knock-off either, it cam complete with tags.  They reduce the cost by dealing directly with the factory so you cut out the middle-men.

There is a group on here called Dressilyme Brides. Most of the girls on it have ordered dresses from www.dressilyme.com and have been very happy with them. I went on the site and they have beautiful dresses for less than $150 but then you have to pay shipping.

I didn't order mine online, but my best friend did. She ordered from www.bestbridalprices.com and it worked out really well! They have tons of designers and FABULOUS prices...try it!

if you are open to buying a pre-owned gown, check out www.preownedweddingdresses.com.  i was able to find my dream gown (vera wang) on there for less than half of what i would've paid if i bought it at the salon (retail over $5k including alterations)! =)

millybridal.com is also another very popular website for online dresses.  theyres a group (http://www.projectwedding.com/groups/boards/milly-dress-brides)for this website too... they've created gowns for many satisfied pwers.

I am pruchasing my dress from Unique Vintage. They have wedding gowns under $500.

I purchased from Netbride, just like TLK did.  I would completely recommend them to anyone.  They are prompt in their responses to questions, the dresses are amazing and so much cheaper than buying in a store, and everything I ordered arrived early!

I bought a store sample (not a knockoff) on Ebay from a bridal salon for $170.  (see bio, I wore it down the aisle)
