Anyone doing their own flowers?  I am really considering it with the prices out there...plus I have alittle background on floral design.  Just wondering about tips/etc. or good websites to order flowers from?  I've found The Flower Exchange to be the most economical so far.  I'm also trying to figure out how many flowers I might need for a 9" bridal bouquet and 7" bridesmaid bouquets.  I'm interested in using roses, mini callalillies, spray roses, orchids, and lisianthus.

if youve never arranged flowers or made a bouquet or bout - you should definitely do a trial!

it comes down to time versus money

how many arrangements do you need to make, how many bouquets and bouts?

do you really want to spend the day before your wedding making your cps, bouquets and bouts??

Of course I don't want to spend the time doing that....thats why I have looked around but....I kind of have no other choice because we're paying for our own wedding and the money isn't really there...I just really wanted flowers.

It's my plan, hopefully it works!

I know what you mean Shannons. I will be doing my own flowers the day before the wedding.

My sister got married a year and a half ago and we did her flowers the day before the wedding. It was a little stressful cleaning, cutting, arranging the flowers and then having to find a refrigerator to store all the cp, bouquets and bouts BUT I am still going to do my own flowers.

I am going to make sure that I have everything else done so the only thing I have to do the day before is flowers and our rehearsal. As much as I would like to have a flower shop take care of everything, the money is just not there for us either!

talk to Ghanabride.  she did hers and they came out amazing.  lots and lots of work though.  like d1rty said, if you've never done it before def. do some trials.
