An exclusively plus size bridal salon? I have. With my wedding it was RIDICULOUS trying to find things that fit me or having people not let me try things on. 

It's just so expensive to start a business like that. I guess I'm just thinking ahead. Maybe in a few years DH and I can start our own business selling only plus size wedding/formal/bridesmaids dresses. :-)

Not a bad idea add plus size lingerie and you would ALWAYS have business!

I thought of it but not sure if I would go through with it. I hope you do it. Its high time for something to give. Its a shame that us average size women, since the rest of the world says sizes 0-12 arent average for women, have to suffer some of the embarrassement just finding a gown.

Good Idea to have plus size lingerie too! I think it would be nice to have plus size girls for once having dresses a little big on them and clipped like you see the skinny girls having on SYTTD. :-) I think it would be a nice, welcome change. :-)

I think a good start would have plus size brides donate their gowns at least that way there can be a change to try on a dress, maybe purchase one that you wanted at a lower cost while slowly moving up the ladder to a full scale plus size bridal boutique. The sky is the limit since we are a untapped clientale. (sorry if my spelling is off im exhausted)

If I had the money to start one, I would...I think it would be amazing...I would be airing "Say Yes to the Dress:BBW" haha...That would bring a lot of people to Iowa too.

I've totally thought about this too!! And if not exclusively plus size then a store that offers every dress in several sizes past sample size so a plus size bride ( and inbetween brides) can actually try something on!  you're supposed to feel amazing when you put on a wedding gown- not discouraged!

Oooo if you do it- please add width width bridal shoes with larger sizes that don't look like g-ma shoes!- crazy money in shoes!
