This is such a deep purple I feel like I'm having a hard time matching it.  Does everything have to match exactly?  I'm doing ivory table cloths with purple napkins and the centerpieces will be a green wine bottle with a candle inside.  Bouquets will be ivory roses and green orchids.  Did everyone's invites match the same purple?  Mine are a lighter metallic purple pocketfold.  I just feel like I'm all over the place.

I am using this color for the dresses, only because it was the only purple that came in the dress my bridesmaids ended up loving.  It originally wasn't the kind of purple I wanted, and when I was trying to match everything to that color, it just was not working.  Now, I am using various shades of purple throughout my wedding (decor especially) and so far it looks nice... so I think you will be fine!

It was a very hard decision for me regarding what shade of purple to use... I was going actually thinking of lapis from david's bridal but ended up choosing regency instead since lapis looks like navy blue when i took a picture of my bm wearing it... So like blushingbride I  think that varying shades of purple will be okay...

I'm using lapis. I'm using many shades of purple and grey so I really didnt think much of it 'matching'

I am using lapis for the BM dresses. Initially i wanted the table clothes to match but dont seem to find the exact color. Decided to go with ivory table clothes, lilac overlay, ivory chair cover and lilac sashes.

Yes, I will agree David's Bridal lapis is a very hard one to match exactly. I can give you a few ideas from ordering experience.

Wedding Linens Direct "eggplant" color is a near perfect match.

They carry chair sashes and overlays in both organza and satin.

JoAnn's Fabric has eggplant organza ribbon with a thin satin edging that is an exact match.

Now I'm on a search for the perfect eggplant napkin and gels for my uplighting...any ideas?

I am also using the Lapis color from DB for my BM's dresses. I am also incorporating diffrent shades of purple, plums, fushia & grays. I'm not very matchy, matchy either but it all seems to be flowing togerher very nicely!!!

YES im using this color as well, and like kendran, none of their dresses are the same style. Matching colors is very difficult, so I just decided, no more trying to match everything perfectly. no one will notice

<-----------Lapis light here! Ivory and Purple are mine, I will be using various shades of purple as well i think it will be fine.  However this brings a good question:

BM bouquets are purple (look like wild flowers) will have a hint of pink and an ivory flower added.  Will this be too much purple as their dress will be Lapis????

I will have an ivory bouquet,  now i am thinking that it should have been the other way around????????
