Our colors are Purple and Silver, originally I was thinking about using Lapis.  It does look a little to dark for me however I have been looking at the eggplant shade as well as African Violet...

I thought I was going to purchase bridesmaid dresses from Priscilla of Boston that were similar to a Lapis color.  However when I got to the store I asked to see the dress in the color I saw on the net and the lady told me that it doesn't come in that shade, it's really navy blue...I was heart broken...lol...she then later said that sometimes the color swatches look one color on the internet then they actually are...

So def take pictures of the fabric you want and make sure that it doesn't look red or blue if that's not what your going for.

Girls with BM dresses in Lapis - what color are you BM bouquets? My bouquet is going to be light purple roses and originally I was thinking of having the girls bouquet's cream/ivory roses - but now I'm thinking I should add some light purple roses as well to give them some color.

Thoughts?

Amy - I think that good! Yours should be colored, theirs should be cream/ivory.  Although it would be nice to add some of the colors(flowers) you have from your bouquet... 

I'm not doing Lapis, because I felt like it would be too dark for my wedding. But I think its perfectly fine to do different shades, just as long as they kinda tie in with each other :)

I'm using Lapis, Regency and Lilac.. from David's Bridal.. I absolutely love this color pallet. My sisters wearing Lapis, my bridesmaids wearing Regency and my nieces are wearing Lilac... Check out those 3 colors together next time you are at DB.

I guess I'm a little bold because I chose to add orange with my Lapis BM dresses. I didn't go with DB tangerine because it was so bright. And I'm using silver as a accent color.

Im using this Lapis color along with  the color wine from davids bridal, im making the lapis more  of an accent to add more depth. My girls will have the white bouquets and mine will be wine and lapis 

I felt like Lapis was too dark (more navy-purple)... but on the web site it does look like a viable option... just not purple enough for me.  I fell in LOVE with Regency instead, but it seems like you can get everything in it... very disappointing.  <3 David's Bridal though, even if the saleslady did lie to me :(

i'm using lapis, lilac and wisteria with silver accents. these are the exact colors of my fav flowers, moon carnations which is also my bouquet. instead of making my brides look like "barney" we went with different shades of purple. to me matchy matchy starts to get cheesy and look cheap...my bm's flowers will have white with hints of purple...
