i am and always have been the SPENDER! but, i will say that these hard economic times have been a serious reality check for me. luckily we both have pretty good job security however, it's tough when the two of you have different perceptions regarding $$.

i am a work in progress but i am getting there!!!

I'm the spender.  I am a finance major I mean I'm not a chopaholic or anything like that but I work hard for my money so I fel like I should have the luxury of spending it on what I want.  Its not that often but if I see something I really want, I usually just buy it. 

My FI on the other hand, will bargain shop for toilet paper.  He won't spend a penny over what he thinks something is worth and REFUSES to give in. Even when it comes to things like cars, insurance and electric bills.  When we go out to eat and he's paying for it, we can't drink soda or tea -- only water.  He's crazy!!

Both -  I handle all the money -  I let him know what we each get for spending after the bills are paid

But in truth he is better at saving than me

We both spend, but he is worse than I am! I'm the one that keeps track of all the money and I tell him what he has to spend.

I am the saver in our relationship.  Sean LOVES to spend, lol.  Got him on lockdown now, JK! ;)

I'm the spender!

We both are spenders but are trying to be better. 

I am the saver,and I'm an accountant, every penny I spend is on a massive spreadsheet with formulas, amounts that "should be leftover" , its crazy..and yes oreo, when we go out to eat, we are only ordering one soda, if Im payin!!.. He's the spender, working on it though.

I am the spender. We don't have our money together yet but he always saves his money and I always spend mine. I can't wait really for him to be in charge of money so he can keep me straight. 

we are equally bad!!! I wish one of us was more of a saver than another but we are honestly EXACTLY the same. We save (together) but neither of us is motivated to bargain shop or save "just a bit more"...however, neither of us are big spenders either...I used to be, but not any more. It works b/c there is no bickering about money, but I wish we could motivate ourselves better.
