So I found a dress I love for the bridesmaids & of course the two ladies that I really want to be my bridesmaids have negative responses.....well only one of them responded that is.......

(((HELP)))

My baby sister said it's flat out ugly & my sister-cousin saw the text & just never answered (iphone blues).  However, random ladies who aren't even in the Remix have been giving it rave reviews.  Ladies is it really that bad looking?  What do I do?  A fellow PWer said it's my day and I should ask to wear it because she knows it would mean the world to me.  Now ot make a short story shorter this isn't the first time they've giving me the shiggy end of the stick.  I tend to get left out of things so I wonder if this is just them being them.....but I digress; here it is!

So I found a photo 3453405-1

That's where I found it Lindsey (;
So what do I do?

I agree with Lindsey. This dress is very classy and elegant, but depending on how old your bridesmaids are, I can see them not liking the dress. This dress is very haute couture. Also, consider your bridesmaids height and figures. I am very short so this dress would not look well on me, but my best friend who is almost six feet would look stunning in this dress. I chose my bridesmaid dresses, but I did take things in consideration. Like me, I wanted them to love their dress and they did. I asked each one their budget, if they wanted short or long gowns and did they want straps, halter, etc.  I know I am always the one who says, it is your day, your way, but take it from a bride who knows, your bridesmaids can make the journey downright miserable if they are not happy and end up dropping out at the most impossible time.

My sister is tiny.......model tiny. Sister-cousin is smaller than I am so I know that figure isn't the issue. They both claim to be into high fashion so I thought it would be a hit. Baby sister is about to be 18 but in my defense if you say age, she hasn't liked ANY idea I've had and suggest she wear something poofy which to me is NOT acceptable. She just wants to be a pain. On our wedding day my only request was that no one wear white.....she shows up in white with pink accents. Sister-cousin might like it, but even if she doesn't I'd like to know. I just feel ignored and that hurts more.

Okay, here's my two cents. First, I would wear anything my friend asked even if I didn't like it. Now that said her is my honest opinion on the dress. Its gorgeous, but I think the person wearing it needs confidence to pull it off. It's so glamorous that I think I would just look awkward...if that makes sense? I think my a$$ would look giant and I'm not sure if I could walk in it. Maybe they would be more receptive if they could try the look on? Maybe if they see themselves rockin' the look they would be up for it!?

Confidence isn't a problem. Baby sister wears belly shirts and tights and all she does is pose in the morrow and takes photographs of herself all day. The oldest one wears sheer tops with bras and things like that. I just like the classy haute couture look of it. I think I might have to flip the BrideZAlla switch when the time for dresses gets closer.

I agree that they need to try it on. I also agree that I would wear anything my friend picked out since it is here wedding and vision. Good luck hun!

I am so sorry that you feel ignored and hurt but since you said your sister is 18, well that explains a lot. Even though she says she is into high fashion, this look and style may look too old for her and honestly, I couldn't see an 18 year old wearing this dress. Have you tried actually going dress hunting with your prospective bridesmaids? Maybe you can fine a happy medium. Have them try on looks you like and looks they like. And I know why she likes poofy too. She is about to be 18. My niece is 18 and she wants a short, poofy prom dress. How old is the other bridesmaid?

She will be 30 this year. I purposely sent her a text about a family member to see if she would respond....she did. I asked if she got the photo after we talked about the family member and she says she was at work and couldn't answer the phone.....I pointed out that I sent it after she was off work and asked well are you at work right now? She stopped responding. I get the eighteen issue but you guys don't understand that I've always been the odd man out and I really think now this is intentional. I got the nickname "Cinderalla" from people who know us and have witnessed the way out family interacts. I was treated funny ever since our family matriarch went to be with God.....
