Our Vow Renewal was on Saturday August 28th.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly:


The Good:

*It was a gorgeous day. All week, it has been between 106 to 110 degrees here. Hotter than hell. But low and behold, today was only 82 degrees. It was breezy and a bit cloudy. It was PERFECT!!

*We had this vow renewal at a private residence. It was very intimate and cozy.

*The food was awesome. The cake was delicious.

*Our minister was AMAZING!!! He i s the sweetest funniest man. He made the ceremony even more wonderful.

*We all had a lot of laughs.

*My tablescape came out gorgeous.

*My mom gave us a gift which surprised me. We were not expecting anything. She knows I love Swarovski crystal. She gave us a Swarovski crystal wedding cake figuring. It's beautiful.




The Bad:

*I wasn't able to wear my wedding dress. It still doesn't quite fit. It suc ked, but at least we are having another Vow Renewal in 2012 and I will get to wear it then.

*No photographer. Here is the back story of why we didn't have a photographer. We were all set to have the vow renewal at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica. Well, in June, something happened that rocked our family. Because of it, we decided to cancel. In July, we decided to go ahead with the vow renewal, but to just have it here in the city in which we reside at a private residence. Be cause we decided to do this so last minute, we could not find a photographer that was available for our date . Therefore, we only have non pro pics.

*My mom was the photographer. She only got 2 photos of us during the ceremony and both photos were taken from behind. So all you see is the back of our heads. She didn't even get a pic of "the kiss". It sucks. There were very few pics taken of us and the ones that were taken of me, I looked HORRIBLE. I was so disappointed. My daugh ter looked fabulous and DH looked nice.

*The cake didn't turn out how I wanted, but it was yummy.

*I was wearing SPANX. They work great, but I thought I was going to die wearing them...lol



The Ugly:

*My brother. Well, I won't go into a whole lot of detail, but he arrived acting like a drama queen because he had a bad day. Didn't acknowledge anyone. Ummmmm, seriously, this is your sisters big day and you want to act like a drama queen?!?!?!



All in all, despite some of the hiccups, it was a good day.
