Hey all!! :) SOOOO I'm newly pregnant and the litter box is my responsibility and now that hubby has to clean it he's all mopey about it lol...soo we're looking into an automatic one...but all the reviews I read are AWFUL!  Do any of you have one and recommend it?? TIA! :)

We had the littermaid one but eventually went back to the regular manual ones. I can't remember why we went back but it must not have been all that great considering we didn't keep it. It used to get clumped up a lot though. DH complained about having to clean the litter boxes too since I became pregnant. They can suck it up for a little while :)

ha ha!  My hubby is miserable that he has to clean the box... but I haven't heard/read enough good things about automatic boxes for it to justify the extra cost.  So he has to just get his scoop on!! ;)  He can deal with it, love... after all you have been doing it by yourself for how long?!?  AND you are carrying his little baby! :)

HA!

We have 2 cats and DH thought it would be great to get an automatic litter box.  We got the Cat Genie.  The one that hooks up directly to the toilet.  The cats hated it.  They were always scared it was going to start up when they were in there. Plus they had to wait until it finished cleaning before they went in to do their business.  They'd be waiting and suffering.  One of the cats always ended up pooping on the mat.  Since we've gone back to manual, no more accidents.  Even DH had to admit that manual is better for them.

This is the one we had.

I have a solution for you!!

We got an Omega Paw Roll and Clean. It is NOT automatic...but there is no sifting through the box. YOu just roll it to the side and the clumps fall into a drawer and the clean litter sifts into a little area...then you roll it back and just pull out the tray and empty it and you have a clean cat box!! Takes about 10 seconds!! I seriously LOVE this thing! They have it at Petco and Petsmart...the large one you have to order online but they carry the small one in store.

We had that one the roll kind but it didn't work for us.  honestly I think the best thing are the sifter bags.  I think they are made by littermate.  Yellow box.  they let the litter drain out the bottom and just catch all the other stuff and you just toss it out.
