My little lady came two weeks early and arrived at 10:03 on Jan 30 at 6lbs14oz and 20 inches! She's amazing and I can't believe the overwhelming feeling of love I have for her. I also think she's the most beautiful little creature I've ever
laid, my eyes on! I may be a little biased, but, probably not. ;) I could just look at her alllll day.
My birth story if you're interested...
Woke up on Wednesday the 30th with a lot of pressure in my tailbone and some dull constant pain down low in my abdomen. I had had a cervical check the day before and a good amount of spotting, but I didn't think it was normal to feel so sore (I
had only had one prior and it didn't make me sore at all the next day.) I tried to sleep it off but the pressure in my tailbone and low back just got more intense so I called my doctor around 1:30 that afternoon and asked her if it was normal for a
cervical check to make me feel this way. She said no, and asked if I was having contractions. I said no; I really didn't feel anything but that constant pain and pressure down low and in my back and butt. She said she didn't think it could be labor,
but to come in and she'd check me. Got there, discovered I had doubled my progress from the day before from 2cm 30% effaced, to 4cm and 60%. They hooked me up to the monitor and I was contracting regularly (I couldn't feel them) and baby's
heartbeat was not regular, so they sent me to L&D where they decided to break my water. I progressed WAY quick and a few hours, a glorious epidural (I could barely feel anything) and about a half hour of pushing later... I was holding my
little beauty. It was an amazing experience and I was so lucky to have such an easy time. My husband, mom, grandma, sister were in the room with me and we were all joking with the doctor and nurses in between pushes... just a good atmosphere. Best
day of my life!
Prayers for easy deliveries and healthy LO's for all you ladies!!
Haha she says, "No pictures please!"
