It’s funny to me that I’m writing my 10K post after I’ve been away from PW for over a month, but I suppose it shouldn’t be. The fact that I’m returning, and that I keep returning – after my wedding, after my
anniversary, after little breaks here and there – is a testimony to just how addictive this site can be, and even more so, how real the connections made here truly are.
I found PW only a few days after I became engaged in July 2010, and here I am two years later almost to the day. Some of the women whom I first simply observed interacting on the boards now have my phone number, even more are FB friends, and
even more still are in my thoughts and prayers even when I’m not sitting in front of a computer screen or lurking from my phone.
In my eyes, PW has done something remarkable. It has taken a group of women who are each at one of the most notoriously stressful periods of their lives, women who are expected to judge and gossip and make snide remarks, women who are portrayed
in the media as brainless, arrogant “bridezillas,” and proven that we are not in fact what everyone else seems to believe. There is camaraderie and friendship and genuine support. I am so proud to be a part of this site, and even more
importantly, proud to be part of a group of women like this one. Each of you, from the PDub addicts to the occasional posters, is the reason I can never truly leave Project Wedding.
xoxo,
Lauren
And now, as I defer to tradition, Dan is being strongarmed would like to write a few words.

I can’t believe that I am writing an entry for my wife’s 10,000th post. I don’t know which is harder to digest; the fact that she has made 9,999 other posts or the fact that this latest submission will come a full year
AFTER our own wedding. It is nice to see, however, that Lauren has an outlet for her ongoing wedding obsession. I’m not sure if she is secretly planning another wedding behind my back or not, but what I do know is that the Project
Wedding website is the perfect place for her to pass along some tips and secrets or just provide help and advice to other brides anticipating their big days.
Thank you, Project Wedding. Because of you, I don’t have to hear about new wedding dress styles, wedding venues, color schemes, or DIYs at all anymore, not just because our wedding day has come and gone, but also because she has other
fabulous ladies with whom she can share these ideas.

And there you have it, PDub. I've been ten posts away from this since early June, and it feels so good to finally join the five digit club!
