Hi ladies!

Just thought I'd show off my handmade elves! I made one when I was in the 7th grade and it would always sit on top of my parents' armoire -then it went missing a couple of years ago :( so I decided to make a family of elves -one for me, DH, baby, and even dog :) The "B" one is darker since our dog is a black Lab ;) Sorry for the blurry pictures...

Thanks Becca :) I think they're worth the 15 glue gun burns I got in the process lol.

I will definitely place an order with you next year for it if you ever start making them.  : )

INSTRUCTIONSSS!!!!! we only have 85,000 letter blocks, and rather then continuing to kill myself tripping over them (bc my daughter doesnt have the patience to watch me build her a castle and knocks it down) i NEED to make these. ASAP.

Lol Kelly -I know the feeling... before I had Megan, I was a daycare teacher and would *try* to build epic towers and the kids would always knock them over as well (how rude! ;) They're actually really easy to make. You just need:

*felt

*pom poms or bells

*wooden heads (you can find these at craft stores)

*glue gun

*scissors

*alphabet blocks

-I cut out the legs and arms (long narrow oval shapes) and hats (triangles ;) and 2 flower-looking shapes per elf for the collar (under the head) and part of the hat.

-hot glue the hat together by folding it into a cylinder like shape (this is the part where I always burn myself -ouch!)

-glue the legs under the block and the arms on either side adding the pom poms or bells onto the ends.

-glue the collar on top of the block, then glue the head, then the flower shape, then the hat and glue a pom pom or bell on top of the hat. Voila!

Here is a link to a variation:
