Hey ladies,

It's 4am here and I'm totally awake. I' having insomnia since the beggining of this pregnancy but now, this is worst.

I'm having nauseas, but during the day, those are easily manabeable by drinking water/soda or eating a little something. But since a couple days, I woke up at 3am and found myself unable to get back to sleep. I just realise it's nausea that wakes me up...What can I do? Getting up is helping but I can't get up at 3am every night...I'll be exhausted in no time :S. And eating in the middle of the night is my next solution but seems to me like it won't help with the "getting back to sleep easily". Any other suggestions?

I didn't have nausea in the middle of the night...but I did have first tri insomnia...my dr said I could take Simply Sleep (like Tylenol PM, with no Tylenol) to help me sleep...it was a blessing!!!

I have had pretty bad insomnia myself since the very beginning, luckily I dont have nausea when I am awake at those ungodly hours, only trips to the potty :) BUT maybe try a glass of warm milk or warm water with a few saltine crackers or some bread... The warmth may sooth you bath to sleep, while the crackers/bread ease your nausea.

Not sure if your doc can give you anything. I have all day nausea so I was prescribed meds and at night between midnight and 4am it seem to get worse. I try to take a pill at night before I go to bed in order to keep me from waking up.

My sister did just keep saltines on her nightstand, along with water and tums for her late night ills.  I have also heard that unisom was originally marketed to help with morning sickness, but made people so drowsy that they remarketed it as a sleep aid.  So you can kill two birds with one stone there.  GL!

Thanks ladies! I tried saltine and it helps with the nausea (takes 15 minutes to work but it's better this than vomitting, right?). But I'm having a hard time getting back to sleep right after. I'll try Simply Sleep or ask Dicletin to my Dr. next appointment I guess...
