My wedding is still over a year away, but my fabulous MOH is apparently gearing up already. She wanted to know where I wanted my b-party. She lives in NoLa (but family is based out of Florida; we went to high school
together).
Three options: Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami
Weighing...
Orlando: where the wedding is happening, with several options for fun. Some of my favorite local bars and is the most easily navigable for me. I prefer pure downtown to Disney, but I lived there for at least 6 years and generally
go there for real partying anyway.
Fort Lauderdale: I live here and am a teacher, and whenever I'm local and having a good time I get very conscious of the fact that I could run into parents or (god forbid) students. But there are a lot of fun places here and tons of
good food.
Miami: is scary. And very difficult to navigate. But is far enough away from work and unfamiliar enough to be totally memorable. And the partying options are kind of endless.
About her? She has never really lived in any of these cities, or "partied much" in them, but the last b-party she planned was in Tokyo. She dresses up like a turkey for Thanksgiving for her little niece's entertainment. To say
she's a pro is an understatement.
