Hello ladies,

I am in need of recommendations for caterers in the BayArea.  My reception will be heavy passed hors d'oeuvres with champagne and open bar.  I need a caterer with a large selection both cold and hot.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ummm you could try Paula LeDuc.  They are expensive, but well worth it!

i used paula leduc.  they are one of the premier caterers in the bay area.  impeccable service, amazing presentation, and food is really to die for.

Ann Walker is wonderful- we used her and was very happy-their soup shots are amazing!!  I really enjoyed Carrie Dove's appetizers (maybe more than any other caterer we taste tested with) and have heard great things about Barbara Llewelyn.  We also liked James Standfield.

Try Seasonal Elegance -- Becca Alonzi is a great chef and her prices are reasonable and menus are top-notch! Here's an event she recently did for me: http://mytenthousandwedding.blogspot.com/2010/06/delectable-san-francisco-inspired-menu.html

i second the ann walker post. i went to a friends wedding and they food was the best i have ever tried. our site has a caterer so i don't need to buy one but i would have used them if needed.

I'm using Elegant Events out of San Jose, but they do events around the Bay Area.

Not sure if you are in the North Bay, but I highly recommend Park Avenue Caterer - I was just looking at their hors d'oeuvres menu and they have a wide selection of both hot and cold. They are also very accomodating and could add anything you don't see on their menus. They have fantastic service and prices are reasonable.

If you aren't in the North Bay, then check out ACT Catering. They are pricier (not as much as Paula LeDuc), but oh, their food is very well-presented.
