I'm looking for a venue for outdoor ceremony and indoor reception for ~65-75 guests. I've been disappointed by the ceremony site of couple of places I've seen so far ( Freedom hall of gardens in Santa Clara and Sheraton in Palo Alto). A few other ones I've seen (the Ranch, Cinnabar, crystal spring, Pruneyard) are either too high F&B minumum or nice ballroom, but not nice ceremony site etc.

Do you know of any venues with beautiful ceremony site and not too expensive recpetion (~$70/person)?  Am I asking too much?  I don't mind if the food is not so good. My wedding is in October 2010.

so you're looking for a place where u can have both ceremony and reception at one location?

is it possible to make it 2 different places? that might make it easier to find a beautiful place with affordable dinner options

I think I have to separate them now.

I like Trader Vic's hall in palo alto for reception, but they don't have a ceremony site.  Any recomm for ceremony sites around there would be great.

I'm getting married at the Campbell Hall and Garden in Sausalito for $1,700. BYO Caterer and alcohol is helping us save money!

Thanks Veradevera.  I booked Cypress hotel in Cupertino for Sunday.  Their Sunday F&B min is lower.

You should check Elizabeth Gamble Garden in Palo Alto. Cutest little place ever and a little hidden gem in the Bay Area. http://www.gamblegarden.org/
