I have found a freelance phtotgrapher.... and he is froom California... but I wanted to know ahead of time, where are the best spots to take photos in Las Vegas during the day? And a few after the reception...

You should check out Bentley and Wilson photography for some ideas.  There is an arched doorway close to the entrance of TI that is really pretty as well.  You of course have to have a photo in front of the Las Vegas sign, one with the Eiffel Tower behind out and there are some neat one on the BW site with a street lamp.  Lots and lots of place for great pictures.
