Binghamton Hostage Shooting.

Anyone hear about that?  It's all over the news.

It's horrible... before I moved to LI w/ my FI I lived 15 minutes away from Binghamton... my parents still live there and so my sister sent me an email today to tell me.  They didn't allow anyone in the are to have any use of their cell phones while this was happening.  The last I heard was either the cops shot him or he shot himself.

That is crazy, it's all over the news here..........I live in Syracuse....see, here I am worried about going to Mexico on our honeymoon, but in reality, anything can happen anywhere at anytime..............pretty scary.........

wow, what is wrong with the world today?  someone woke up this morning just heading to work and doesn't make it back home.  this is just so sad.

I know, my prayers go out to the families of the people who were killed and injured.

I went to college in Binghamton! I always thought it was scary then, but I guess it's even scarier now. Dang.

Wow! I know, got the email breaking news at work today. So sad!

We started taking about it at work and were discussing whether or not we have an emergency plan in place, if something like that were to happen at our building. I work in a career center that deals with people on unemployment, so tensions in my building are at an all time high. What a scary thing to think about!!!

I pray for all those families and loved ones affected .

I know, my agency helps homeless people, people in need of assistance w/ rent, utilities, food, etc... tensions get high here too.  I heard something about it being in the Catholic Charities department in the building.  I remember a few yrs ago, I heard the Catholic Charities near me had a situation where they werent able to assist a man, he wrote a letter threatening them that he would come down there on a certain day and shoot everyone... they took the letter to the police and sure enough, the man showed up on that date! 

Wow! Its so crazy!! We just got a security guard, and there are many Louisville sluggers in our building, but you can never REALLY be too safe.

so awful.  didn't hear about this until now.  when will this stuff stop...i feel like there have been WAY too many shootings in recent years.  such a tragedy.
