Black bridesmaids dresses

I love black dresses for bridesmaids!  Now, my cousin had us wear long, floor length formal black dresses on the sand in a beach wedding in Hawaii and I thought that was a bit odd but aside from that, I think they are very elegant and flattering!

I think black bridesmaid dresses are very stunning and very classic looking. I say go for it!

i'm doing it too....i just have one attendant...matron of honor...so she is picking out a nice tea or knee length black dress....our wedding is in the evening too...so it will be appropriate...i think classical colors will look great in your pictures years down the road....

I too am having black BM dresses. They will be holding bright red, orange, yellow and pink flowers for that POP of color. I love the contrast. I also hope it will be a dress they can wear again

My BMs wore different, black knee-length dresses. The guys were in black suits. To add some color, the BM bouquets were all red and I purchased burgundy pashminas for all of them. I also gave them a burgundy orchid to wear in their hair. They were really happy that they got to choose their own dresses, especially since they are all very different body types. And they could seriously wear their dresses again.

I was really surprised that I got absolutely no flack for them wearing black... even from my MIL. I guess I lucked out.

Once you make a decision, stand by it and don't let others try to guilt you into changing your mind. It won't look like a funeral, it will look classy and elegant. And your girls will thank you. ;-)

My BM dresses are black as well! BM have little red (APPLE) shawls for my red accent !

Black is so chic, and bridemaids can re-use the dresses it.  I was recently in a wedding with black bridesmaid dresses.
