I use the regional forums on gardenweb.com. Florida gardening is... well, unique, lol! I try and learn as much as I can from others before spending the money on something that will fail.

Urban Homestead ~ these people are amazing - self-sustaining farm on like 1/4 of an acre!!

Coir Pots ~ I LOVE these pots! Many people use peat pots to start seeds indoors but peat is a non-renewable resource. Coir is a nice alternative because it is totally enviro friendly and renewable - it's a by-product of coconut farming - it's basically the coconut husk!
