A couple of tips:
- Send them as many pictures of the dress you can find. Especially detailed pictures are helpful to them, so they can see exactly how it should look.
- Explain how the dress should look. I heard some stories (not with Dressilyme though) that the dresses sometimes have a whole other model then the pictures.
- If you want specific kinds of fabric, tell them.
- Ask them how many layers of fabric it will be, how much boning, etc.
- If you want some changes made to the original dress, send them (a) picture(s) of the dress with the explanation of the changes you want, so it's very clear how you want the dress
- use simple English and be kind to them
- ask for pictures of your dress before they ship it. If they tell you they don't do that, ask again after you placed the order. You can see how the dress will be and can request changes before they ship it.
- and for us: review the dress once you received it and show us!
I hope this helps to make your decision. Maybe other brides have more tips and tricks?
