Hi ladies,

I know were not supposed to plan our own showers haha or have any control in it- but my MOH's (sisters) asked about games, etc. Since we/I don't want it to be cheezy, you know? Does anyone have good/ fun ideas. As some of you know were doing a HM/ Caribbean decor theme, and my registry is geared to get my ass domesticated :) My FI and I have reversed roles haha

So far were thinking of doing a bride/ groom trivia activity (not sure how we will do this yet) Either: 1) see how well they know us or 2) How well they no me and then how well I know him...
I forgot what the other one was crap

Anyway, and thoughts or ideas??? Do you know what your doing or did do? TIA!

You can do a bridal jeopardy game all about wedding facts. Your topics could be celeb weddings, facts and fictions, etc....

Thats cute! I'm just worried about my crowd I guess? We have his aunts, a few of my friends, and the girls in my family- weird mix. I just want it to be fun and light hearted- and not boring haha so many people dread this kind of stuff, you know?

No one else knows what their doing? What did the new wives on here experience at theres?

how about sort of a "newlywed game" format - where he answers - your guests guess and then your answer is revealed - then do his q's??

benign questions like:

how many bikinis has hmm bought for the honeymoon??

how many wedd-forums did hmm belong to during the planning stage??

where did hmm and mr. hmm go on their 1st date?

i dunno ni'm drawing a blank...

i went to a wedding shower recently (i say wedding shower cuz it was both guys and girls) any way.. there were about 4 teams of girls.. each had a guy too.

well each team had wrapping paper and were supposed to make wedding dress on each of the guys with the paper. it was pretty fun.

some people got UBER creative. haha we added boobies on our guy lol

in your case.. youd have to pick a girl to be the "model" lol

I love the t.p. wedding dress game!

My BM's had me look over a questionnaire about me & FI. They're going to have a trivia game and whoever gets the most right wins a prize (lotions, sprays, etc. from B&BW)

Another fun one is the chewing gum game (bad for the bride!) BMs call the groom a few days before the party and have him answer questions about himself. Childhood questions, relationship questions, whatever! The bride doesn't know the questions ahead of time. She has to answer them at the shower- and for every question she gets wrong she has to start chewing a piece of gum. It can get very, very funny!

Hmmmm I'll think of more & let you know what games are successful at my party on Sat. =)

I love the paper plate game, where you give each woman a paper plate and a pen/pencil. Then tell them they have to draw the bride's dress while the plate is on top of their head. At first women groaned, but when everyone was finished the whole room (older ladies to little kids) were laughing and comparing their art. The bride then picks her favorite. It's also really fast, if that makes a differnce.

We also are doing the get to know the bride/couple quiz. It's nice for people to feel more connected.

I threw my bf a bridal shower 2 weeks ago and I did a picture frame design game. I bought about 5 unfinished wood frames from Michaels and painted them al pearl white paint first. I then bought all the accessories like stick on crystal gems, jewels, ribbons, and etc. The girls got together in groups of 3-4 and using all the provided accessories to produce a decorated wedding frame. The winner goes to the designed photo frame.

I also love the tp wedding dress game...it's a staple.

HTH!
