Hello!

Just curious about your bridesmaids' dresses.  I'm having a hard time putting my foot down with my MoH.  She's extremely picky so I've been pretty laid back so far, but I'm not sure what to do.  I picked out a dress that I thought was the one for the girls, but she tried it on and said 'eh, I found another one I like better'. 

I guess what I'm asking is if I should go with three criteria - chocolate brown, floor length and chiffon - and let the girls pick their own.  OR just let her wear the one she picked out and have the rest of the girls wear the one I love.  The only thing is they are completely different so it might not "flow"...

I was really hoping this wouldn't be such a stress!  :P

Well, if you LOVE the dress you picked out, let her know. If she still doesn't like it, let her know your criteria and have her pick out another one.

I picked out three dresses that I liked and let my girls pick out of those three. My MoH chose a different dress from the other three girls and it's in a darker shade of brown than the other three as well, but I love both of the dresses the girls are wearing...just an idea so that you get what you want but she still has a choice.

Hi geribeth, thanks so much for the advice!!  I'm going home at the end of this month and we're hopefully going to pick out the dress (OR dresses!).  I bet that is really pretty...and glad you love them both!  :)

I'm having my girls pick their own dresses from JCrew in chocolate brown. I agree with Jess, it's your wedding so if she insists on not wearing what you picked out then give her your criteria and have her pick out her own.
