Bridezilla Moments!

SO, I am having the first of my bridezilla moments... I have to vent a bit...

So, our reception is on a family member's farm.  I am a laid back person, not super picky about anything.  I just want to have a nice wedding.  I am really appreciative of everything my family is doing to help with the wedding, so I have just been going along with all the suggestions they have made, especially the suggestions made by the farm owners.  I am really close with them and, like I said, really appreciative that they are letting me have my reception there and helping out so much.  Today, my mom was talking to them and there has been some miscommunications.  I have gone along with everything they have said, but apparently they have forgotten about some of the conversations we have had!!!  They are all questioning the rehearsal dinner we have planned, the plans we made for the bridal party to get ready at the farm house... all suggestions THEY MADE!  Things that I basically just went along with, to make things easier!  Ugh!  It's super frustrating.

Anyways... I am going to try to be calm.  We are all getting together last this week to go over details.  I suppose miscommunication is bound to happen when a bunch of people, spread across the country, try to plan a wedding together.

I will feel MUCH better later this week, I'm sure.

Please share your bridezilla moments with me... to make me feel better. :P

yup, I'm right there with you.  I live in Manhattan - where parking is terribly expensive.  so I decided to buy parking vouchers to pay for all of my guests parking.  I called the guy months ago!  and included an option to request a voucher on my rsvp card.  I talked to the guy on monday and he had no clue of our conversation, basically called me a liar and told me we never spoke (which we did) and when I was calmly offered suggestions on how we can make it work he got frustrated and hung up on me.  I got his boss' number and the boss apologized and said that the guy is going through a rough time personally - and that he would work from me.  Have I heard back from the guy or the boss yet - nope, do I have parking vouchers that i need to mail the guests I promised them to - nope.  I can feel my horns growing by the day.

Your frustrations are understandable. I'm like you very laid back and easy going. I've been planning every aspect of my wedding from beginning to end. My fiancé mother began hounding me a year before the wedding regarding hotel accommodations for guests.

Well after I worked with hotels and came up with a negotiated rate, she lets me know she found a place to stay and isn't moving... UGH, why hound me a year before the wedding if you were planning to make your own arrangements anyway...

Even thought, I gave her the date I would have information by, and she still went ahead with her own agenda.

Me being me, I got over that quickly, but it was very upsetting, especially when I work full-time, volunteer and have other projects going on with my own start-up business.

Wuuusa dear :)
