Budget cuts ...

Hey ladies, GM ! How are all of u doing this morning? Good I hope . ?Well FI and I were looking at candy yesterday for our CB and we decided that it was too expensive to fill up the jars and keep them full all night. So I'm gonna have to return the jars and were gonna put the money towards the flowers. I only have 5 weeks till the big day and my co-workers mom said that she would do the wedding parties flowers for 350. DO u guys think thats a good deal?

1 Bride  bouq.

5BM bouq

5GM bout

1RB bout

2FG (n/a will use rose petals) 

2 MIL corsages 

3 FIL Bout.

Is she a pro, or just someone wanting to help you out?  I'm no florist, and I've done 2 wedding flowers so far, with the help of Costco...you can get 2 dozen flowers for only $14.99, and bouquets are SUPER easy to make!  It sounds like a great deal, but to save even more money, I would get some of your BM together, and throw a practice run to see if you can do it yourselves.

She's a pro. florist. I just don't have the time to diy. I trust she'll do a good job.

for the candy bar, could you maybe put it out or have our site coordinator/catering manager put out towards the end of the nite?  i don't know how that would work...just a thought....

I have 5 BM bouq, 1 bridal bouquet, 7 bouts, 3 corsages, 2 fg baskets for $675 with shipping from Proflowers/wedding

$350 doesn't sound bad for what you're getting. I'm spending $530 for:

1 - bride bouquet
1 - throw away bouquet
3 - bm bouquets
1 - groom bout
3 - GM bout
1 - Father bout
2 - Mom and GMIL corsages
2 - rows of rose petals down the aisle
2 - pilars w/2 flower baskets for the alter

So if you trust her, I say go for it, just make sure you show her a lot of pictures of what you want / like.

UGH! I jus texted FI about the cost and he asked me if the flowers were magic flowers! LOL ! What a dork. I should tell him about the prices u all are paying maybe he'll do it. Most likely we'll jus go to Safeway or Costco. I'll have to do some research ... I only have 6 weeks left AHH!

i'm paying almost $2K just for bouquets and bouts for me and the bp...

and i'm going to DIY (with the help of my planner and her assistant) the centerpieces =)

$350 sounds like a steal to me!
