For those of you that have done, or will be doing, and open bar and were/are able to bring your own alcohol - how much did you estimate for a champagne toast? 6 per bottle? 4? more?

I heard somewhere that the standard is 6 per bottle, but I was also thinking we could probably get more if we are only pouring halfsies, since it is just for the toast.

What were your estimates?

I know I could have everyone toast with what they are already drinking, but I like the champagne toast :)

Haha, yeah - it's an open bar, which means I will be getting the $5 champagne bottles. :)

Our's are included in our forfait but a bottle of champagne is serving 7! But this is what the venue are saying for those who don't have an alcool forfait (they definitely want us to buy +++++ bottles) so I think you can easily have 8 per bottle!

I figured 6 per bottle.  (Sparkling wine is the only thing we're serving.)  I bought enough for everyone to have 2 glasses.  Then my bosses gifted us with 2 cases of sparkling and a case of muscat (sweet). (The combo of the sparkling and the muscat is a "heartbreaker" - our signature cocktail.  We now have enough for everyone to have two of those too.)  I also bought a case of sparkling wine with pomegranate.  I think we have enough now!  I also have a special bottle of champagne (from France) to open when we cut the cake.
