Im feeding 100 people. I think i am going to go ahead and get a small 2 tier cake with a sheet cake to feed all my guest but i havent seen any cake table pictures to see how they work that out. Wont the guest see the small ass cake and say damn "how are we all getting a piece of that?" Im just asking...

oh yeah has anyone tried diamond bakery over in MONTEREY PARK california

haha they may think it's small, but a lot of guests don't eat cake, you'll have leftovers. Plus, I wouldn't worry too much because I think a lot of people have done the same thing with their own wedding.

Have you ever considered having your baker create a "fake tier" + have sheet cakes in the back. they can decorate non edible material with Icing and/or Fondant & you can't tell at all that its fake. Then your sheet cake will be in the back waiting to be sliced.
-As long as you have at least One Edible tier for the "cake-cutting" that may be a good option for you

...I'm having a fake tier added to my cake just to make it look more dramatic because I Also only have 100-120 guests.

Genae had a beautiful cake. She did a smaller version of her inspiration cake.

Here's a cake table with a small cake. They added height with something under the stand.

The fake tier is a great idea!  No one really notices the size of the cake.  All anyone really wants to see is the two of you cut the cake.

i think if you decorate the cake table heavily, the cake wont look so small lol... put it on a huge pedistal... and you can always add a "fake" tier! itll make it seem bigger! im doing a 2 tier cake also :)

P.S.---Here's a site where you can rent an amazing cake for like $150... & then have a baker make up some sheet cakes, lol

A lot of people do the fake tier cake, but so many people now do the sheet cake trick that I'm sure nobody would care if they just saw a small cake.  I mean, some couples don't even serve a cake at all.  It's your wedding so I say as long as it's pretty who cares how big it is?
