Hello ladies, I have finally decided to get off my butt and lose these extra pounds! I have always been very very thin all of my life, in 2009 I was diagnosed with Hashimatos Thyroiditis, and as a result I have gained over 60lbs since then. I am currently weighing in at 190 and would love to get back down to 150-160 by the end of the year :) Now a couple of pics t show where I was to where I am right now.

Hello ladies I have photo 3085559-1 I am the blonde, this was December 2007 around 115-120 lbs

Hello ladies I have photo 3085559-2 This was my wedding August 2010, around 195, with a dress that was waaaaaaaay too tight.

It's never too late to lose weight despite all of the road blocks that may come our way.

thats tough when bumps in the road prevent you from achieving your goals! I was 184 in december and shocked I had no idea I did not feel like i weighed that much so I got an ipod and started walking everyday after dinner and would have smaller portions when i ate. trust me i cheated but never called it that. I always took it one meal one step at a time so  i would not feel guilty or regret anything. I set my goals at ten pounds a piece so I would not get discouraged when I didnt loose anything. So after walking I would run a little and a little more time and challenge myself to see how well i could do telling myself ok im gonna run to that telephone pole or to that street and now I am running yes running 4 miles a day! I enjoy the time for myself just me and my ipod! I never thought I would be a runner but I am I even ran a 3 mile race. I guess i never took the initiative because I was afraid people on the street or strangers would look at me funny because i was heavy and attempting to run trust me skinny girls pass me all the time! I have learned to not let it bother me and now im a head turner for the good reasons. I hope you can achieve your goals and find yourself again! I have found myself again at a happy and healthy 154 pounds well this morning i was! I had chicken fingers for lunch with my little man ;)  Best of luck!

I can understand your frustration without the thyroid issues.

About 5-6 years ago I was in the best shape my life, but my personal life was a train wreck (divorcing) and now my life is fantastic and I'm the heaviest I've ever been.  I'm trying to find the balance in that.

Being that you're dealing with a medical issue related to weight, I would suggest you have your doctor's advice and support first off.  Not sure either way.

I know for myself, I beat wage a mental battle every day for not being as small as I used to be and that is not good for me or for you.  I stand in the closet in near tears most days.

Good luck in getting things figured out!  I'm around if you need to talk.
