Does anyone have any idea how much a Candy Buffet costs and and recommendations?  Thanks.

I've just recently decided that I don't want to do our candy buffet myself because I'm running out of time and I'm super busy.  I contacted Jackie Sorkin from Custom Candy Buffets and so far she has been awesome!  She does amazing candy buffets!  

I'm not sure what her exact pricing is but she is willing to work with you and your budget.  My budget was $600 for 120 people and it will come out right around there (maybe a little bit more with tax) but it's worth it to not have to run around and find jars and candy.  I just booked her this week and my wedding isn't until June 26 so I will have a better review after but it's worth contacting her to see what she can do for you.

It all depends on the candy I have 160 people and I budgeted for 500 and I spent 350.00 on the candy and the jars 100. So it all depends.

I spent about $600 as well for 150 people. I could have had a little bit less candy, but not much. I bought from the candy warehouse in irwindale and choose to pick it up in person since the shipping adds a lot of $$. I bought a little bit of the candy VERY cheap after  valentines day at Rite-aid and stores such as that. I was perfect because my colors included red, pink and black.

Here is PART of the candy bar. You really need to do a decent amount of candy in order for it to look good, be impactful and make a statement. The candy buffet was a HUGE hit at our wedding. Grow adults were lined up to get some!!

My sister also suggested that candy place in Irwindale.  I think we might do a combination candy/dessert bar so people can have a choice of candy (red m&ms, boston baked beans & red jelly beans), salty items such as pretzels, peanuts and popcorn, and we are thinking of doing snack cakes from our childhood such as Twinkies, Hostess Cupcakes and cookies.  I'm not worried as much about color as I am about the treats themselves!  Like this one but in our own color scheme of red, gold and ivory.  Picture found here on PW. 

So far I've spent $40 on the glass jars (another bride on craigslist) and $70 on candy (picked it up the day after Easter). I'll be making signs on cardstock and I bought three yards of broadcloth to use for wrapping boxes and creating height on the table. I also bought 100 decorated bags online for $15 and I got some full-page labels to make my own stickers of our monograms (purchased on ebay for $20) and a large circular punch from Michael's for $5 after coupon. We only have about 80 guests so I hope it's not too much or too little.

I haven't opened the candy to see how it fills the jars and we won't do that until the day before the wedding. If I need more filler, I'll just pop up some kettle corn.

@lovinsol I purchased candy from the www.candywarehouse.com and they have discounts if you spend over a certain amount you get like 50.00 off.

Also since you are in the area you can skip the shipping charges and pick them up yourself or have someone pick them up for you that is what I did. It saves on cash.

If any of you have a day of coordinator they might be able to assist you with Jars. As a planner I have tons of Jars that I allow my brides rent for a super cheap price and or borrow. You can buy the candy at wholesale places in downtown LA. I like one in particular Jack's wholesale. Make sure you have some sort of decoration for your table. I've done a candy bar for 200 people for $300. You just have to be mindful of your budget when you pick out the candy, if you are out of time I highly recommend hiring someone to help you set up.
