Wow! What a great Monday morning for me!

This past weekend I was super busy. My best friend and MOH flew out to CA so that I could throw her a bridal shower and bachelorette party for her upcoming wedding. I was so busy! I tried to eat healthy as healthy as possible. But both Friday night and Saturday night I cheated and had one to many drinks (hey it is a bachelorette party). But we also went on a tour hour hike through the Laguna Cliffs. I woke up this morning just HOPING that I maintained and didn't gain....um I lost close to four and a half pounds since last week!!!! HELLO?!? That is the most I have lost in one week. Goes to show that I need to cheat once and a while and that maybe I should be eating closer to 1300-1350 calories a day instead of 1200. I am down more than 12 pounds and just three pounds from my original goal....now I am so motivated to loose that extra five pounds before her wedding in Mexico in May. Yippeeee!!!

PLUS, I finally got my PRO wedding pics back (only took 5 1/2 months)...geez! Why can't I feel this good every monday???

CONGRATS WOW 4.5 lbs that is huge progress! You know I notice that when I stop focusing so much on the calories and just try to eat what my body is craving, I do better. It's a lot easier to lose weight when you are just having a good time than when you are so strict, then I kind of feel trapped. :) Keep up the good work!

Yay!! awesome!!

I'm having a poopy monday :(  Sick with a cold, haven't worked out since last Monday, OMG.  Constipated... gross I know.  Feel like hell.  Oh well, this too shall pass.

I'm feeling better overall: I can now breath through my nose again!  My lungs are sore, but darn it, I will get back into my routine!!  I haven't gained any weight, i just feel gross.

Need encouagement :(

I am sorry to here that GTG....like you said it will pass soon enough. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Nothing worse than being sick.

I think it was a time change thing b/c I'm definitely feeling crappy today! And super, uber sore. We ran 11 miles yesterday and I'm pooped.

Eating today has been fine but tomorrow I'm switching up the breakfast etc. Getting bored with the existing trend! :)

Today has been super good i have eaten my normal oatmeal breakfast (5.5 pts) lunch i had two morning star sausage patties (3.5 pts) a banana (2 pts) and a clementin (0pts) Dinner is going to be at the FIL house because it is my FFIL's Birthday today. We will mostly likely have steak i just need to make sure not to eat the entire steak and save some points to allow myself some cake afterwards to celebrate my huge accomplishment that i did.

my work out is going to be a 30 minute walk with a co-worker at lunch, 60 minute bootcamp class and possibly a walk run with a friend of mine after dinner at the FIL house.

It is going to be a super busy night but i am ok with it and i know i am going to ben even busier once the ball start to get rolling on the wedding stuff.

So since i was so exhausted last night from my crazy day of working out i thought i would add on a quick update for sunday.

work=CRAZY 5k in the morning. Then i jogged walked over 5 miles with a friend of mine so in total i worked out for more than 2 hours and it was all walking/jogging (mostly jogging i might add) the entire time, my body is i super sore today but it is a great sore all at the same time. I love having this healthy lifestyle and i must say it is an addiction but a good addiction i might add.

Eating: was a little interesting i basically had to stuff my face at the end of the night to make sure i had enough calories in my body to make sure it didn't go into starvation mode. I had 41.5 points 16 of which i had to use to fuel my body from my crazy work outs i did. A little note to self the next time i do that run. Bring more water and bring something to snack on to keep me energized for the run.

 

I know super long post but there was lots to talk about!

clightner- awesome job keeping yourself on the right path! It shows! and those wedding pics are phenomenal! I hope I look that good on my wedding day!

GTBG- I'm sorry babe! Being sick sucks. I'm glad to hear you are letting your body heal before jumping back to the gym! it sucks to sit around, but its good for your body to rest. we actually talked about that at church yesterday! as a way to avoid burnout! Hope you feel better soon 

Aswan- I know what you mean about the soreness :) I just went and bought icy hot for my knees and a thermacare wrap for my back. Hoping to feel better for tomorrows run! I agree with the water/snacks, too! It helps a lot. Thanks for being my running buddy! You rock!

So here is my monday checkin-

Pretty tired and the kids were uber crazy today because of the time change! I acctually caught myself telling a 5 year old "I am NOT in the mood for that behavior!" haha. wow. had to take a step back. I think I am cranky because of yesterdays run. tired body physically and mentally. 16 miles, felt amazing but finding I need more rest the night after a long run like that. 

Food has been good. I had the usual cereal for breakfast, slimfast and 2 mandarins for lunch and am making a ww garlic pizza for dinner. yum! Workout I took easy today, 50min lift class.

Hi everybody! Sounds like some very eventful Mondays all around :)

Doing good today. Tried out "No More Trouble Zones" this morning - think I need to downgrade to 3lb weights, my arms were killing me halfway through the arm circuits!

Food intake healthy, still working on lowering my sugar intake - Green Monster for breakfast, peanut butter and banana rice cake "sandwich" for lunch, clementines as snacks, and will be having leftover chicken and potatoes for dinner!

Good work everybody-you are all such great motivation!  

Went to the gym tonight and did 64 minutes of cardio!  I switched it up between the elliptical, treadmill (couch to 5k week1), and stationary bike.  Now i just need to make sure to add in some weights.

Eating was pretty good.  I had cheerios with a banana for breakfast, a lean pocket for lunch, some strawberry greek yogurt with granola for a snack and dinner was a boneless pork chop and a spinach/strawberry/toasted almond salad with a homemade vinaigrette (so yummy!)
