Hi girls!

I am looking for some centerpiece advice!! I am thinking of just making my own to save some money, but the thought of having to put them together on THE day of the wedding drives me crazy with 'what ifs" not to mention that I am supposed to get ready that day and not walk aroudn with vases and such.

The old mill will let me into the room at 3, but the ceremony is at 5 so that's not good! they've offered to set them up for me but i am not sure if they'll go all they way in putting the flowers in the vases and the rose petals etc...am I too paranoid?

if i get the centerpieces at a flowershop, what is a reasonable price per centerpiece? any referals are welcomed as well!!

I *believe* she is charging me $40 - $45 each, which I think is reasonable. If you want fresh florals that are set up for you, you would be looking at $30-$50. personally, I think it's worth the expense...you don't want to be running around the hour before your wedding setting up cp's...it would be nice to spend that time with your fam and bm's, kwim? You should just be relaxing and enjoying your day! And realistically, by the time you bought the roses and vases you would be looking at $25 (at least)...if let's say a florist charged you $35 to set them up and provide them to you, you would be saving $10 per table - or $100 if you had 10 tables - totally worth the stress saver!!!

If you just wanted something real simple - ie. a dozen roses in a vase w/ some votives, I think Old Mill would be able to handle it...but if you want anything more elaborate, I would get it done for you.

Thanks Miss Em!! that is reasuring! i have not started shopping around but had heard that they were of about $200 a piece! but your comments put me at ease!! will defenitively check out sue for florals.

btw, last weekend i was at bridal images shopping for my dress and saw a girl that looked just like you, were you there by any chance? it was on Sat.

no - i wasn't! not even sure what bridal images is!!

just to clarify - something simple would be $30 to $50.....more elaborate cp's w/ lots of florals would be closer to $100 each (from Sue anyway)
