Our DJ likes to plat the $1 game to see who gets to take home the ceterpieces. He has 1 person from each table pull out a dollar and he starts the music. As the music plays the people at the table pass the dollar arond. When the music ends, whoever has the dollar gets to take the flowers. My question for you...what would be a good song to play for this? TIA!

That's what we are doing... our other thought was to place something under the the name cards and make them the winners.

How about songs about money?

Money for Nothing - Dire Straits

She Works Hard for the Money - Donna Summer

Money, Money, Money, Money - O'Jays

Can't Buy Me Love - The Beatles

Money, That's What I Want - The Beatles

Or that song from the 80s or 90s that starts out with a chick saying "the best things in life are for free..." I can't remember who sings that song.

I attended a wedding where the centerpiece was given away to the guest who's birthday was closest to that date. Another time was it was given to the guest at the table who'sd traveled the farthest. (thankfully it was a small centerpiece.)

Good luck!

I read somewhere on here that when making the seating chart there should only be one aunty at a table because they like to have dibs on the centerpieces.... I will bet they end up with the dollar during this song game... Cute

lol that is very true sunset... i know all of my aunts will be thinking "if anyone touches that centerpiece i am taking off my shoes and fighting for it" lol i guess that adds on one more thing to consider when making the seating chart
