Centerpiece help needed...

Hi Ladies- it's been a while since I've posted anything on these boards... 

My cousin is getting married next May. She's looking for centerpiece ideas that DO NOT contain flowers or candles... can you ladies help?

What is her theme/colors?

Fruit always is good anytime, leaves and branches in fall, ornaments in winter, stack of books

Her colors are black/red. No theme. When I think of black/red I usually think of a more formal wedding... The barn is beautiful but I don't think a lot of the centerpieces (unless flowers!) would fit the feel of the location.
