I just bought my diaper bag today and decided to pack it ahead of time because I know that I am going to be exhausted come time for her first visit to the Drs and will probably forget things.... I found this helpful checklist.... Mommies, feel free to add your input :)

One thing that I can add that I didn't see on there is if you are formula feeding those pre measured cups are great to have in your bag instead of having to bring your whole can of formula.... And you can use them as snack cups later!

I also added a mini emergency kit and hand sanitizer wipes....

I would add if you're nursing...

nursing cover if you nurse, snack for you while nursing, bottled water for you

@Sparkle, I got this one from BRU! I love it! It is a good size for everyday and trips to Grandpa and Grandmas since we are over there a lot.... It's comfortable on my shoulder and not to bulky for its size.... It also comes in blue and brown....

great list!

Here are a few things we carry in ours that aren't on there:

a mini bottle of hand sanitizer attached to a key chain on the outside of the bag. We have refilled it many times.

a package of antibacterial wipes, different than the normal baby wipes. I have used them many times to wipe down dirty changing tables.

we also carry around two large muslin receiving blankets to use for random things... nursing cover, cover the carseat when baby is asleep, cover to block out the sun, cover to sleep on a couch or carpet depending on where we are. They have really come in handy.
