Hey Ladies,

I am creating my menu, and we have decided to have chivo as part of our menu....I was thinking rice, but I wasn't sure about beans.

What other things go together with Chivo???

I am trying to make a traditional meal but yet classy and presentable....any ideas!!

white rice and beans either pink or red.  A good fresh spring salad, also you can add steam veggies.

tortillas does not mix with chivo....at least not for me....with a good piece of bread and butter does it.

We are definitely having the rice, im not sure about the beans, my fiance is not mexican and he is always talking about the gas....lol

and I think salad would be nice too

We were'nt sure about the tortillas just because we were worried about warming them up, and my family hates warming them up like in microwave and such....only comal

But Boricua_Bride, the bread is a great idea, I think we might do that

thanks for the ideas ladies

Chivo with bread? Girl, reconsider the tortilla option.

I'm having birria de chivo for my wedding and my family would have a heart attack if I gave them pan. Maybe your family is a lil less paisa then mine lol, so yeah if bread works then more power to you :)
