Is anyone DIYing their cake stand?  I'm always looking for something unique that doesn't cost a fortune.  Any ideas? Pictures? Or am I totally crazy on this one?  Thanks!!

i did these with a sturdy candle stick, epoxy and a big plate!

For dessert buffet table I am making one out of the same fabric I'll use for my dress. Basically, a long strip of fabric with elastic sewed to top and bottom, and padded with quilt batting. Mine will be square but here's some pics.

These instructions are for a square but same difference for round or any other shape

Is was ours. I got a pane of glass from a garage sale but you can get one at any glass store... then we used glassed from our own kitchen to make the stand. :)
