classic dress with modern jewlery?

Hey ladies, just a quick question for you:
Do you think it looks strange to have a very classic lacey dress with more modern jewelry? I am thinking of wearing a bracelet and earrings that I already own, other than the pearls. Anyhow they're very modern. kind of Art Deco, pave etc but I'm wondering if would work with a high neck lace collared dress (what I'm really fancying right now except I haven't finalized that end... oof)

It's hard to say not having a clear image of the dress and the jewelry...But my hunch is YES. The dress itself could have a twist that makes it a little more modern. Bur Art Deco speaks "vintage" or "antique" to me so that a classic dress with something antique-looking sounds really appealing to me!

And of course we know you can spell jewelry :)

I wish I had a picture on me! They are locked away presently... The earrings I'm thinking of are Bulgari ones I haven't really worn before, they were a gift a long time ago. If you're familiar with their jewelry - its all very geometric, white gold, circles, rectangles etc. But I'm really loving lace and I'm not sure if the two can flow together.

I love Bulgari! At least what I've seen in pictures and magazines :) Why not combine lace with the Bulgari designs - you can find lace that is less traditional and has a more geometric pattern to go with the jewelry. I don't know, I love the idea of wearing something special that has meaning to you - like the jewelry.

deco is classic! a different genre then lace but a classic all the same. It's hard to say with out seeing them but in theory: it could work well : )
