Are they a money saver?

Do guests enjoy this?

Is it appropriate for a 8:00 start time?

Different Stations and appetizers are what I was thinking.... what is your opinion?

Thanks in advance!

I'd say that a cocktail reception, for an evening wedding is quite appropriate.

As long as you don't go over board on appetizers, it would likely be a money saver.

I'm in favour of the idea :)

We are having one.  We are having desserts and appetizers.  Yummy!

this is REALLY expensive! My caterer told me it would be cheaper to have a sit down dinner than to have apps!

We're doing this, and it's saving us. We're doing $1000 for an afternoon hors d'ouevres and dessert reception for 150 people.

We're doing cocktail reception too and our start time is 8pm.  It seemed especially appropriate because we only have the venue until 11pm and when you break everything down there's really not much time for a sit down dinner!  Plus its way cheaper.. we're using Costco for our food :)
