If any of you ladies are thinking about a couples boudior session, either before or after the wedding, I cannot recommend it highly enough!  DH and I decided to do one this Christmas as our gift to each other, and I could not be more thrilled about how much fun we had, how close it brought us and how wonderful the pictures turned out!

Here's a little sneak peek:

These are STUNNING!! I've always been interested in the couples shoot, but wondered how comfortable DH would be. I might have to bring it up again!

I would seriously ask him...and then my best advise would be to do a Secret Pinterest Inspiration board where you, DH and you photog can post pictures you like.

We did that and DH was the one with the most pins!  He really got into it and it got him really excited about both doing the shoot and seeing the pictures :)

Looks amazing, but It would not make me comfortable with a person in our intimate space. I guess if I was in a studio I would feel a little more at ease.

No one is allowed in my bedroom because it is our space. The kids are the exception. Am I the only one who feels that the bedroom is the one place that is off limits?

I'm not completely positive, but I think it looks like they are at a hotel. And I bet you could get some amazing shots in a studio as well, if the photog had the space. I think if I were to do it, I'd pick a hotel as well. I like the crisp look of the white bedding and simple decor.

You're right missjess, we were at a hotel for these pictures...although I wouldn't mind taking photos in our bedroom, if I thought it would look this nice (I loved that I didn't have to clean to shoot here!).  I agree that I wouldn't want just anyone in our intimate space, but if you were to find a photographer who you have a rapport with and you totally trust, I can imagine that those type of photos would be amazing.

Stephanie Wells is an awesome photographer and also happens to be one of my closest friends in this area, so I would absolutely trust her in any of those moments :)

So if you are going to do ANY type of boudior photography, that would be my number 1 piece of advice: make sure that you are COMFORTABLE: with the photographer, the location, your wardrobe selection, your hair & makeup, etc.  Otherwise, your pictures will just look like you're nervous...

This is a great idea and definitely something I would love to do.  I might bring this up to DH for our anniversary at the end of the year.
