Crinoline with mermaid/trumpet dress: Yes or No?

For you ladies who are wearing a mermaid/trumpet style dress, are you wearing crinoline underneath?  I'm on the fence if I want one or not...

i think it depends on the cut of the dress. im going to be wearing one but mostly because i like the look of it

I have a crinoline that I was going to wear... but my dress looked way better without it so I went without. My first mermaid looked better with it... so it really depends on the dress.

I think I am, but do you gals know a good place to order a mermaid crinoline? The one I tried on at the bridal store was $100, but it did have this long stretchy tube material on top so that it worked like Spanx! I'd love to find one similar to that, but cheaper!

I had a bit of crinoline under my dress and it came with it. I didnt buy a separate crinoline skirt...

how does the crinoline enhance the dress? can any of you show me a before and after pic please? i have a mermaid gown and i am debating whether or not to try one on with my dress. TIA :-)
