We're in the process of finishing up the nursery for our baby, and i'm trying to decide on window treatments.

I found some black out curtains in the color that we want at Walmart for $25 per panel.  The room isn't huge, and the window isn't either... I believe 3 or 4 feet wide.

I'm worried that having 2 panels is going to overwhelm the room but at the same time, I want to make sure that there is enough fabric to cover the window completely.

Would it look weird to only have one panel across the window?  When we have it open, we would have it pulled to the side and secured... kind of like this

Do you have a pic of the window Kat??  I'd like to see that before I make any suggestions.  :)

I think it would look good!  Would you use matching fabric to tie it back, or would you use a pull back?

Sorry Allie... I don't have a pic right now.

It's just a plain old, residential window.  White trim around the outside.

Athena, we would probably use a metal pull back that attaches to the wall.  Something cute and decorative.

I think you could go either route with that size window. :)  But I don't think it's too small to have 2 panels at all!

I think i'll grab two panels on my way home, and try it both ways.

I'll be sure to take pics and get opinions :)  Thanks girls!
