Cuteboy2me: Recap Part 2 - The Reception

The Reception:

Todd and I got the reception hall in good time. We waited in the car for a bit and then we had some photos taken outside with the limo. It was a fun moment. My hairdresser came outside and fixed my hair for the entrance.

The girls and Ty were announced in to Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely'.

Then came our entrance. Todd had no idea that I had pulled together such a cool entrance for us. We were announced in under the hockey stick honour guard and the song “Good Old Hockey Song” was playing. I loved that moment so much, because Todd loved it so much.

My first look at the culmination of all the work of my friends, and your support and ideas here on PW, at the reception hall – I was blown away. It was even more gorgeous than I imagined even in my most perfect of hopes and dreams. Thank you for helping me realize the vision!

Todd and I hit the sweetheart table and there was a gift from him to me on the stage. It was the lyrics to our wedding song, (picture coming) which at that point, I still didn't know the name of. He saw his Stanley Cup cake and loved it.

Dinner was amazing and the speeches were incredible. You may not be aware, but Todd is a newfie and part of the MC's speech, screeched myself and our 4 girls in! It was hilarious and such fun!!  Kissing a cod (replacement fish) was not something I expected on my weddding day. :)

Then came the time for our first dance. Todd chose John Hiatt's 'Have A Little Faith'. It was the perfect song. I loved that moment with him.

Our reception was such a party. We had the best time. It went super fast, but a lot of memories were made and that is always what is so important to me.

Some of the things we heard:

• Such a contemporary and in touch wedding

• You guys are glowing.

• You can see the love just by looking at you together.

• Never been to a better reception.

• We had the best night.

• You guys definitely know how to throw a party.

• I've never seen a groom happier than Todd.

• You are the best thing to ever happen to him.

A dream come true has been my life this past week.
