In the PM I said it would probably be more like 3.5 to 4 inches you would have to have cut off. It is actually more like probably 4 to 5 inches. I just remembered when I got measured, I was measured with my heels on and then I had them take it a bit longer so that the lace would sweep the floor and not show the shoes.
